About this model - In this model I’ve introduced the best features regarding design, aesthetics, and materials. Of course you can always select fancier tuning machines, however the tuners I’ve used are often of better quality than many brand names. This carved-top octave mandolin boasts a one-of-a-kind design, meticulously conceived and crafted. This instrument embodies a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, ensuring a distinct and captivating musical experience. The neck is thinner than I usually do and the whole instrument is lighter and very responsive
All Solid Wood Construction - Crafted from the finest selection of tone woods, this mandolin is built using all solid wood, enhancing its resonance and tonal qualities. The top, back, and sides are carefully chosen to ensure a balanced, rich, and vibrant sound.
Handmade by a Single Luthier - Every inch of this octave mandolin is brought to life by the hands of a single passionate and experienced luthier. This ensures meticulous attention to detail and a high level of artistry. Each instrument is a unique masterpiece, reflecting the luthier's dedication to its craft.
Clearer Tone - The carved-top design contributes to a clearer, more articulate tone. The craftsmanship and choice of tonewoods work harmoniously to produce a sound that is defined, warm, and resonant, making it perfect for a wide range of musical styles.
More Percussive Than Flat-Top Octaves - The carved top imparts a distinctive percussive quality to the sound, adding a unique character to your playing. This feature sets it apart from flat-top octave mandolins, providing a versatile tonal palette for musicians seeking a dynamic and expressive instrument.
Responsive - The responsiveness of this carved-top octave mandolin is truly exceptional. It reacts effortlessly to the player's touch, allowing for nuanced expression and dynamic control. Whether played delicately or with vigor, this instrument responds in kind, offering a truly immersive playing experience.
